Stayed 3 nights in an Apartment just up at the back of the main hotel. The facilities for kids are great. Pitch & Putt, Crazy Golf, Tennis court, Swimming pool....as well as kids club if wanted..... Meals in Poachers Bar were great....cant say anything to fault them. even had great selection for the children apart from usual sausage & chips that you get in most places! I would recommend anyone with children going on a "Stay-cation" to give the Clare inn a chance, regardless of some other reviews. great buffet breakfast each morning too....set us up for the day!! :-) Well done Clare Inn!! - Anonymous - July 2010

I am writing this in relation to our stay at your hotel on the June bank holiday weekend 2010. Myself, my boyfriend and many members of my family from co. Wexford stayed in the hotel on the friday and saturday night and from our arrival to our departure our whole experience was exceptional. We were part of the Corcoran/Boland wedding party. The staff that we were dealing with were extremely friendly,helpful and accommodating towards us, from the porters to the accommodation staff to the reception staff to the waiters/waitresses both in the dining room and the function room we could not fault them in anyway what so ever. My only regret is that i didn't get their names to let you know so you can recognise their great work and effort. But my biggest compliment without a doubt has to go to the food and the chefs that created it. The team that are working behind the scene's should be very proud of their work and should be recognised for it. The meal that was presented to us that day was only beautiful especially the steak and the brie cheese with the berry compote. There isn't one thing that i can say that was negative about it at all. The whole meal experience was out of this world. I hope this email reaches the staff of the hotel and once again a huge thank you for making our stay at the clare inn a most enjoyable and unforgettable one. I would just like to say, that I stayed there last Saturday Night with my family.It had to have been one of the best nights we have had away as a family.The staff were courteous, and polite. Anything that I asked at reception or the bar or even an employee walking past was addressed straight away. My kids loved it especially the kids club.It was great for us also , we got a few hours of QUITE TIME.... I hope to stay there very soon, have started to save already . I have also told all my colleagues here about the hotel and that it is not just great for kids but even for couples...just the peace and quite that surrounds the place is BEAUTIFUL. Just want to say thank you very much for a nice stay when we got diverted into Shannon on our way home to London from Mexico due to the volcano ash crisis. The staff on duty when we arrived did a really good job of getting everyone to their rooms efficiently.
